If your school is trying blogging in any form, be it with a specific club or class, or a whole school effort - please let me know, and I'll add it to our del.icio.us account, so that other interested parties can read, get ideas, and potentially feedback comments to give your children a wider audience for their work.

One school who is blogging is Linton Primary. http://lintonschool.ethink.org.uk/connect-4-advanced/ is a link to a nice staff/pupil Connect 4competition that required applicants to apply through the blog. They then posted comments and results. I think this kind of competition would be a good fundraising event too.
Stretton Handley Primary School currently have 4 blogs.
Two are Blogger powered and hosted through our website:
http://www.strettonhandley.derbyshire.sch.uk/birdcamblog/birdcamblog.html is our original birdcam blog where children, parents and the community are invited to comment; http://www.strettonhandley.derbyshire.sch.uk/friendsofschool/fosblog.html is our PTA blog where committee members can post anyone can comment.
We also have two Wordpress blogs which are hosted through edublogs: http://strettonhandleybirdcam.edublogs.org/ is our new birdcam blog which is part of the Derbyshire Schools Birdcam Project, children and members of the community are encouraged to comment on this blog; http://strettonhandley.edublogs.org/ our very new, still in development, general school blog run by our Year 6s. By the time you read this, it might have a bit more than just spelling list podcasts! At the moment, the Year 6s are "contributors" which means they can write and edit their own posts but these still need to be approved before going live. They can use their accounts at home or at school to write posts and they have access to a higher level account, which allows them to do a bit more under supervision at school.
At Creswell Junior School each class has a blog to share news about activities the class has taken part in. My class’s blog is http://class4creswell.ethink.org.uk
All the class blogs can be access from the school website www.creswell-jun.derbyshire.sch.uk
Blogging is very new to some members of staff and therefore some blogs are just beginning to take shape. However others a up and running with regular news added.
