Good question Nettie. I would say for a server almost universally that's job for IT services (x7777). It is highly recommended that you get maintenance support (purple sticker) from them. They will also transfer all users, and files from old systme to new. Now is a good time to look at your network structures too, and have a clear out, or a bit of re-organisation. we can help if you need suggestions. Other tech support... FairyG is blessed with excellent support from her secondary school (although not all primary's feel that way about their own sec schools version of support...) A good question for your local briefing meeting???
Sorry have been off ill so only just read your querie. I think I can help. I've spoken to my technicians and they are happy for me to pass on their details. They work at our local secondary, but are fantastic. They helped me set a new network and built the server for me. They are very good at doing what you want. They will give advice if you ask but ultimately will do what you want not what they think is best. I highly recommend them. The main guy is Chris Capon, mobile: 07825260620.
